Located in Melbourne’s Docklands beside Southern Cross Station, Collins Square consists of five commercial towers and the historic Goods Shed South. The Docklands historically had been a challenging  space, having some difficulty with engagement, and this project seeks to address that. Walker Group incorporated a strong focus on place-making, and the development precinct amenity, to create a sense of destination for the 46,000 people who will use the integrated commercial, retail, public and civic spaces.

WTP were engaged as Independent Certifiers for the commercial buildings and fit out works for Towers 4 & 5. Each commercial tower, designed by Woods Bagot, will deliver highly flexible works spaces with large floor plates, and a 5 star NABERS energy rating.

Tower 4, has Link Group as anchor tenant, and will draw together Link’s 2,350 staff from a number of existing Melbourne offices into one centralised location. Key features of Tower 4 include an internal atrium with a 60 metre green wall, balconies and collaboration pods, end of trip facilities in the basement , 4 levels of carpark, a retail level and  15 levels of office on top of a podium.

The $400 million Tower 5 will be 27 storeys and includes a basement carpark with 5 levels of carpark above ground. With BDO as the anchor tenant and a fit out by Schaivello, it promises to be another benchmark commercial space. It is due for completion by June 2017.
