This landmark development involved the adaptive re-use of an existing 7 level commercial office building with the construction of a 10 level hotel extension to accommodate 220 guest rooms. The new levels were constructed in CLT (Cross Laminated Timber.) This technology facilitated a shorter construction time due to prefabrication and reduced transportation costs and associated carbon emissions. Due to its lighter weight it enabled extra storeys when compared to a conventional concrete construction.

The combination of new construction technology and the curved façade treatment make this a distinctive project within the Southbank precinct.
