Circular Quay Redevelopment (Young Street Precinct), Sydney

WT has been working with AMP Capital on their redevelopment plans for the Circular Quay Precinct.

The current proposal for the project, which encompasses two city blocks, one of which fronts Circular Quay, includes new mixed use buildings, upgrades to existing heritage buildings and the extension and upgrade of the existing AMP Tower building creating floor plates of up to 2,100 m2 NLA of Premium Grade office space.

To achieve world-class design excellence, AMP Capital held a design competition in accordance with City of Sydney Council’s Competitive Design Policy. This involved a number of respected and high quality architectural firms of international standing competing to prepare their design vision for Quay Quarter Sydney.

A jury panel of six representatives from City of Sydney and AMP Capital selected 3XN as the winning architect for the Design Excellence competition. 3XN will be the Architect for a new tower at 50 Bridge Street tower they will also design the precinct masterplan.

Following design development of the winning scheme, further Stage 2 DAs will need to be submitted and approved by the City of Sydney.
