Grocon / State Government of Victoria
The Victorian State Government’s $290 million Revitalising Central Dandenong initiative is rejuvenating Dandenong city centre to encourage $1 billion worth of private sector investment and the creation of 5,000 jobs and 4,000 new dwellings in the suburb over the next 15 years.
As a demonstration of their commitment to the initiative the Victorian State Government has consolidated Melbourne based staff from five government departments into a purpose built A grade building in the heart of Dandenong.
The 14,000 m2 NLA building has three full basements, a part fourth basement and eight levels above the ground floor.
WT Partnership worked with both the developer and the State Government to assist in bid phase to establish preferred developer and preliminary cost planning to identify fitout budget for each government department.
WT Partnership also assisted the project manager with the assessment of variations, in particular the scope changes based on the client brief and the design development documentation for fitout works.
The building is expected to achieve 5 star Green Star Rating and 4.5 stars NABERS rating.
