WT was engaged by Australian Government Department of Defence to provide full quantity surveying services, including cost planning, full tender and post contract administration services through the construction phase to final account for the proposed facilities at Luscombe Airfield, Holsworthy.

The project comprised:

Administration Headquarters

Support facilities for the 171 Aviation squadron consisting of office areas, audio visual training areas, conference/meeting rooms, amenities and flight planning facilities.

Aircraft maintenance bays

Aircraft maintenance, consisting of overhead damage removal and maintenance cranes, overhead dehumidification heaters, maintenance access platforms and spare parts storage.

Soldier health care support facilities

Onsite medical support facility for the 171 Aviation squadron soldiers consisting of pharmaceuticals storage areas, treatment rooms, x-ray viewing equipment and consultation rooms.

Aircraft hangers

Includes storage and testing area for Defence aircraft consisting of eight aircraft hangers, including 400Hz power converters.

Helicopter corrosion control facility

A cleaning and maintenance facility for Defence aircraft consisting of overhead drying fans, overhead remote control gantry wash facility, retractable boom wash facility, overhead fall arrest system, fume extraction system and trade waste separation system.
