The Marysville Community Hub formed part of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority’s charter to rebuild community assets following the devastating Black Saturday bushfires of February 2009 which destroyed the town of Marysville.

The Community Hub features a health clinic, multi-purpose rooms, a sports hall, viewing platforms, club rooms and amenities over approximately 2,500 m2.

The building was designed to the new bush re-building standards (BAL 29) and incorporates the sensitive use of approved timbers to reflect the character and values of the Marysville community.

WT was engaged by Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority during the design development phase to assist with value management and budget verification. The final design met the government approved budget of $7 million.
