WT provided full quantity surveying, cost management and post contract services for Melbourne Airport’s concourse upgrade, baggage services and Secondary Examination Area (SEA) enhancement development located in the International Arrivals Reclaim Hall.

The scope of works included the upgrade of the concourse ramp to achieve DDA compliance, provision of a secondary buggy ramp, new vertical transport, new passenger amenities, installation of a 4th checked bag screening line, relocation of the Level 3 baggage screening and expansion / reconfiguration of the SEA.

The key component to this project was the management and staging of the works to ensure passenger safety was not compromised, DDA compliance was maintained, Border Agency sensitivities and minimal disruption to airline operations.

The construction works commenced in 2013 and were completed in 2015.

WT has provided quantity surveying services to Melbourne Airport for well over a decade.
