The iconic Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, known as AAMI Park, has capacity for over 30,000 patrons and features a cutting edge ‘bio-frame’ roof design that provides extensive seat coverage and excellent spectator sight lines.

The stadium, which is home to Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City soccer teams, the Melbourne Storm rugby league team, and the Melbourne Rebels Super 15 rugby union team features:

  • A 136 m x 82 m world class rectangular pitch
  • Sports campus including approx. 800 m2 of training facilities including gymnasium and internal athletics areas
  • A four-lane 25 m lap pool
  • Office space for elite sporting teams and specialist sports medicine including radiology
  • 24 corporate suites with internal and external seating
  • Dining room with capacity for 1,000
  • Merchandising facilities, 14 food and beverage outlets and 14 bars
  • Public café/bar and merchandise outlet on Olympic Boulevard

We were engaged by Melbourne & Olympic Parks in 2005 to provide full Quantity Surveying Services during design and construction.  The stadium was completed in 2010 and WT’s work on the project was acknowledged with the 2012 Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors Infinite Value Award for Architecture.
