The project comprised of the construction of a new six storey (approx 7,500 m2) mental health, drug and alcohol, and community health facility for 27 inpatient mental health beds, 20 bed detoxification units and 4 levels of basement car parking for 228 cars.

WT was commissioned by St Vincent’s to provide cost planning, cost management and monitoring services from inception to completion of the project.

The challenge was to set realistic project cost budget that is all encompassing and reflects the Client’s requirements at the early stages of project, in particular with existing services infrastructure, FF&E and decanting costs is important and therefore drawing upon WTs extensive hospital experience and previous comparable projects for cost benchmarking has proved invaluable.
