Corporate social responsibility

Corporate social responsibility

At WT, we strive to shape a better future for our people, our environment and our community.

Corporate social responsibility is more than a commitment – it’s part of who we are. We believe in building a better future by embedding ethical, sustainable, and inclusive practices across everything we do. From reducing our environmental impact and supporting community initiatives to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, we’re proud to play an active role in creating positive change in the industry and the world around us.

People

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We champion diversity, equity and inclusion by fostering a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported and empowered. Through ongoing training, mentoring and sponsorship, we invest in professional growth at every level. We promote a culture of respect and belonging, where individuality is embraced.

Environment

A better future is a collective challenge. We’re on track to achieve net zero certification through Climate Active in 2025 by tracking and reporting our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. We also make it easier for our clients to understand and achieve greener choices across the life of their projects through our Carbon & Sustainability services.

Community

WT Aspire is an employee-led initiative empowering and inspiring our teams to get involved in philanthropy. This includes volunteering, pro-bono work, financial contributions, and donation of goods. We focus on key pillars and initiatives chosen by our people: mental health, domestic violence impacts and environmental conservation. We partner with organisations such as Mates in Construction, R U OK? Day, Habitat for Humanity, and Property Industry Foundation to make a difference.

Reconciliation Action Plan

We are committed to promoting positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a consulting firm supporting projects in the built environment, we have a role to play in closing the economic, education and employment gaps that exists between Australia’s First Nations peoples and the wider Australian community.
