WT is proud to congratulate Tim Roberts on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Essendon Football Club.
Tim joined WT as a cadet quantity surveyor in 1993 and today is an Executive Director. He has been a valued member of WT’s Board, bringing deep strategic insight, strong leadership and a clear focus on long‑term value creation. His appointment to one of Australia’s most recognised sporting organisations is a testament to his capability, integrity and track record of leading complex organisations through growth and change.
Importantly, Tim will continue in his role on WT’s Board, ensuring continuity and ongoing stewardship as the business builds on its strong foundations.
WT Executive Director Phil Anseline said Tim’s appointment reflects both his individual leadership and the strength of the organisation more broadly.
“WT will always empower our people to grow, from cadets and graduates to our senior leaders. Over the past two years, we’ve been deliberately developing our leaders to build on the great work that Tim and others on the Board have done to date,” Phil said. “That investment means WT is in very good hands. We have a strong leadership team in place and a clear strategy that will allow us to continue empowering our clients to grow.”
Tim’s continued involvement with WT reinforces the Board’s commitment to stability, capability and future-focused leadership, while his new role at Essendon marks an exciting next chapter in an already distinguished career.
WT congratulates Tim on this significant appointment and looks forward to continuing to benefit from his guidance and experience as the business moves forward.
