Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus is set to welcome a new era of student living with the expansion of Griffith University Village, developed in partnership with Campus Living Villages (CLV).
Since 2006, CLV has owned and operated the existing student village on campus, and this new landmark project will enhance the precinct with a best-in-class development.
Designed to prioritise health, wellbeing, and sustainability, the new village is targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating and WELL Gold certification. The project will provide contemporary, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) that fosters community and sustainable on-campus living.
Empowering confidence and sustainable value
Appointed in June 2023, WT is providing cost management and quantity surveying services to support CLV through every stage of the project. Our pre-contract role has included cost planning, estimating and benchmarking, detailed value engineering, and management of the early contractor involvement (ECI) process.
This approach has enabled us to test construction methodologies, evaluate alternative strategies, and ensure the most suitable build solution was adopted for Queensland’s challenging market conditions. Our independent cost advice has helped maintain the balance between affordability, constructability, and design aspirations.
As construction commenced in August 2024, our support expanded to include progress claim and variation assessments, as well as financier reporting. We are closely managing cost risks associated with complex authority requirements, ensuring the project remains on budget and on schedule while protecting the client’s investment.

When complete in September 2026, Griffith University Village will stand as a sustainable, community-focused development that reflects CLV’s commitment to delivering world-class student accommodation.
