Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Penrith Stadium is home to the six-time NRL premiership-winning Penrith Panthers and a vital part of the region’s sporting and cultural identity.

As Western Sydney’s population continues to grow, the NSW Government has committed $309 million to transform the stadium into a state-of-the-art venue for sport, live music and entertainment. With a vision to become Australia’s best suburban stadium, the redevelopment is designed to deliver an exceptional event-day experience for fans and improved facilities for players, staff and the broader community.

Expert quantity surveying across the project lifecycle

WT is supporting Infrastructure NSW as quantity surveyor on this landmark project. Our team is providing cost management across the design and delivery phases, starting with detailed cost planning throughout the design stages to ensure budget alignment with project ambition.

We have supported Infrastructure NSW in evaluating tender submissions and continue to provide post-contract services throughout construction, including assessment of progress claims, variations and ongoing cost reporting through to practical completion. Our role also includes active risk management, value engineering and cost benchmarking to ensure that every dollar is spent with long-term performance in mind. Our experience in large-scale public infrastructure and stadium redevelopment ensures we bring strategic insight and commercial rigour to every phase of the project.

Delivering a superior experience for fans and the community

Upon completion, the upgraded Penrith Stadium will accommodate up to 25,000 fans, across newly constructed east and west grandstands. Fans will benefit from improved comfort and accessibility, with increased roof coverage, more seating, and better access to food, beverage and toilet facilities.

Universal access has been embedded into the design, ensuring a more inclusive environment for all visitors. The surrounding precinct will also be enhanced with additional turnstiles, safer queuing zones and better entry points to streamline arrival and departure.

The Penrith Stadium redevelopment is set to elevate Western Sydney’s sporting infrastructure and cement the venue’s place as a premier destination for live events.
