Establishing itself as a world-class “foodie” destination, the Sydney Fish Market Redevelopment project sees the iconic Sydney site relocated from its existing location in Pyrmont, to an adjacent wharf in Blackwattle Bay.

The new Sydney Fish Market building will consist of:

  • A total retail area of approx. 12,500 m2
  • 30 retail tenancies
  • Basement level car parking for approx. 400 cars
  • Ground floor auction hall, wholesale operations, fishing vessel wharves and loading dock
  • Upper ground floor market hall housing restaurants, food retailers, fresh seafood sales and retail
  • Mezzanine level office space, restaurant, bar and the popular Sydney Seafood School

An exciting opportunity to transform currently inaccessible harbourfront land, the new site will also contain more than 6,000 m2 of new public spaces which will include:

  • A public park,
  • Waterfront Promenade
  • Local Plaza
  • Bridge Road Promenade

We were appointed as Independent Commissioning Agent and Independent Certifier for the project.

The new Sydney Fish Market is due for completion in 2024.
