The 2036 Newcastle Airport Vision is to expand the Airport in order to meet the needs of the local community.

Since opening in 1970, Melbourne Airport has undergone extensive expansion works and significant capital expenditure. Airport Management accordingly engaged WT’s expertise in condition auditing to provide a better understanding of the quality and condition of the Airport’s assets.

The Hamad International Airport Expansion in Doha, Qatar responds to a significant increase in passenger numbers. WT is providing high level Cost Plans for Scheme 1: Early Capacity - Existing Terminal Expansion and Scheme 2: Long Term Development – Western Campus.

In April 2014, the Australian Government confirmed Badgerys Creek as the site for a Western Sydney Airport (WSA). In August 2014, the Government formally issued a Notice to Consult to Southern Cross Airports Corporations (SCAC) as contemplated under the Right of First Refusal (ROFR) process laid out in the lease for Kingsford Smith Airport (KSA). This effectively triggered the commencement of consultations and detailed planning for WSA, the first major Greenfield airport development in decades.

Melbourne Airport is expecting to accommodate an additional 31 million annual passengers by 2033. To meet expected demand; the Multi-Level Structure (MLS) and associated civil works project was a key requirement to improve Melbourne Airport's intermediate road network, service infrastructure and parking facilities within the airport's Southern Precinct.

The project includes the phased development of a new 35,000 m2 domestic terminal facility designed to cater for up to 20 million passengers per annum.

Melbourne Airport’s concourse upgrade, baggage services and Secondary Examination Area (SEA) enhancement development located in the International Arrivals Reclaim Hall.

A 6,500 m² expansion to the west of the international satellite and included additional international departures bussing capacity, relocated and expanded international transit screening facilities, increased departures lounge seating and new floor area for premium airline lounges.

WT Sustainability are providing LEED and Independent Commissioning Authority services (CxA) on this project.

The Runway Widening Project was the largest single airfield construction project undertaken in the airport’s 35-year history and was the major stage of Melbourne Airport’s A380-Ready Development Program.
