Project Description
Client:
BayWa r.e.
Services:
Cost Management & Quantity Surveying
BayWa r.e. is a leading global renewable energy developer, service provider, distributor and energy solutions provider, and is actively shaping the future of energy. Their proposed Bullawah Wind Farm in Hay, over 700km west of Sydney, consists of 143 wind turbines producing up to 815MW, and a battery facility that will power 500,000 homes in the region.
BayWa r.e. turned to WT for cost management & quantity surveying advice. As part of our scope, we provided a detailed estimated development cost report for the Bullawah Wind Farm project, which was submitted as part of the development application to the NSW Government.
Utilising our unique local and global mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) cost management expertise, we reviewed the proposed drawings, conducted research and drew on previous experience in renewable projects.
We worked closely with the client throughout the engagement to seek clarification and incorporate feedback to ensure all costs were considered.
In 2024, the Bullawah Wind Farm submitted its development approval to the NSW Government, enabling the project to move to the next stage of project approvals.
