Whether it be large-scale, or small -scale projects, the importance of third-party objectivity cannot be overstated; and at WT, our clients have consistently relied on our ability to act with absolute impartiality.

We understand that when more than one party is involved, the potential for miscommunication or misunderstandings increases.

As Independent Certifiers/Independent Reviewers (IC/IR), we make it our priority to understand the needs and desires of all parties involved, no matter the project.

Why take on an Independent Certifier/Independent Reviewer for a project?

An IC/IR is employed by all parties involved, the benefit of such an agreement is the assured delivery of neutral decision making when reviewing and mediating conflict; with costs too being shared amongst them for each dispute.

Usually brought on and agreed upon before the commencement of a project, an IC/IR will have access to any meetings, all pertinent information and the construction site. This ensures that the IC possesses in-depth knowledge of the project, enabling quicker resolution for disputes to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

From verifying quality of work, to managing conflict arising though contractual disagreements, or even navigating disagreements leading to the withholding of payments; as IC’s/IR’s, preventing escalation of conflict (e.g., litigation) is paramount.

This arrangement is commonly found on projects formed through Public Private Partnerships (PPP).

Having worked on several high-profile projects, our team of IC’s/IR’s are skilled in understanding how to navigate conflict to move towards the mutual satisfaction of all parties; ensuring all action is taken with a project’s best interest in mind and reaching resolution for any disputes that otherwise cannot be resolved individually.
