WT celebrates double success at the 2026 RICS Australia Awards

Leading international project advisory firm WT has been recognised with two major honours at the 2026 RICS Australia Awards, held in Melbourne on 17 September.

WT’s NSW Infrastructure team was named Quantity Surveying Team of the Year, while State Director Sahar Khaledi received the prestigious Woman of the Built Environment Award.

The RICS Australia Awards celebrate professional excellence and outstanding achievement across the property, construction, infrastructure and built environment sectors.

The NSW Infrastructure team was recognised for its work across complex, high-impact transport infrastructure projects, integrating cost, carbon, risk and innovation to support better project decisions and outcomes.

WT Australia CEO Heidi Mitchell said the award reflected the team’s commitment to helping clients make better decisions while creating sustainable value for communities.

“This recognition is a testament to the expertise, innovation and dedication of our NSW Infrastructure team. Their ability to bring together commercial insight, sustainability thinking and independent advice is helping our clients navigate increasingly complex infrastructure challenges while delivering better outcomes for communities.

“We are incredibly proud of the impact this team continues to make across Australia, setting new benchmarks for our profession and demonstrating the value that trusted, independent advice can deliver.”

Sahar Khaledi was recognised for her leadership in complex infrastructure decision-making, where she brings together cost, risk and sustainability considerations to support long-term value. The award also acknowledges her commitment to building diverse, high-performing teams and developing capability across the industry.

Sam Mendoza, WT’s National Infrastructure Lead, said the recognition was richly deserved.

“Sahar is an exceptional infrastructure leader who brings sound judgement, technical authority and a clear focus on long-term value to every project. She has earned the trust of clients and colleagues through the quality of her advice and her commitment to better infrastructure outcomes.

“Beyond her technical expertise, Sahar is passionate about developing people. She is committed to building diverse teams and creating opportunities for others to succeed. This award recognises both her professional achievements and the contribution she continues to make to our industry.”

The two awards reflect the expertise, leadership and commitment of WT’s people across Australia.

Congratulations to Sahar and the NSW Infrastructure team on these outstanding achievements.
