The Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research will treat patients with cutting-edge cancer treatment currently only available overseas; and housing a research facility within Adelaide’s very own BioMed City precinct.

The Australian Bragg Centre spans 32,000m2 across 15 levels, including a 3-level proton research and treatment facility below ground and 11 floors of lab space. The project involved a range of complexities such as the underground proton research bunker requiring specific radiation shielding and vibration minimisation requirements.

Set for completion in late 2023, with the first patients to receive treatment 18 months later; when fully operational, the centre will treat 600 – 700 patients a year.

We are currently undertaking a financier certifier role on the project.
