The Frankston Hospital Redevelopment is one of Victoria’s most significant healthcare infrastructure projects, designed to meet the growing needs of the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding communities. Once complete, the expanded facility will deliver more capacity, more services, and better outcomes for patients and their families, supporting the delivery of world-class care closer to home.
The redevelopment involves a major expansion of the existing hospital, including a new 12-storey clinical services tower, additional operating theatres, over 120 new beds, expanded maternity and paediatric services, and dedicated spaces for mental health care. This ambitious upgrade will not only improve access to critical and complex care but also enhance the hospital’s ability to attract and retain top medical talent in the region.
Delivered as a Public Private Partnership (PPP), the project is being led by the Exemplar Health consortium – comprising Capella Capital, Aware Super, Lendlease, Honeywell and Compass Group – in partnership with Peninsula Health and the Victorian Government.
WT has been supporting this essential healthcare project as the financiers’ certifier since construction began in 2022. We’ve provided ongoing oversight of construction progress, budget adherence, and quality assurance, helping to safeguard the financial interests of all parties and ensure project milestones are met with confidence.
Our regular progress reporting and transparent commercial review processes have supported open communication and trust across stakeholders, while reducing risk and enhancing accountability throughout the construction phase.
The Frankston Hospital Redevelopment is set to transform how healthcare is delivered in Melbourne’s southeast when it’s completed in 2025.
