The adaptive re-use of an existing 7 level commercial office building involves the construction of a 12 level hotel extension. The new levels will be constructed in CLT (Cross Laminated Timber.) This technology will facilitate a shorter construction time due to prefabrication, reduce transportation costs and associated carbon emissions, and due to its lighter weight, enable extra storeys when compared to a conventional concrete construction.

The combination of new construction technology and the curved fa├žade treatment make this a distinctive project within the Southbank precinct.

WT are providing financier reporting for this project, to be completed in 2018.
